Steve "Banjo Boy" Harder-Kucera is the original perpetrator and criminal mastermind behind The Pickadillos. He first inflicted this band on the innocent people of Las Vegas more than five years ago.

Steve committed his first banjo related crime at the age of eleven, competing and performing at fairs and festivals in Humboldt County, CA. As a teenager Steve would hitchhike to San Francisco and play music on the streets.

Steve's criminal background also includes extensive performances as a stage magician and stand up comic. In Sonoma County, CA., Steve was a founding member of the alternative bluegrass criminal enterprise known as Twang!
